The Gift of Travel

Christmas is right around the corner. I have to admit after the loss I have experienced I am no where near “in the mood” for the holidays but Christmas will come regardless so I’ll be prepared. I ask my 11 year old son (who is all about the latest Pokémon thing or gadget) exactly what it is he wants this year. As he’s naming off different things he’s see on tv I interrupt him with “ok do you want gifts or do you want to go on a DreamTrip?” His mood changes immediately- from robotic recall to excitement and curiosity . “DreamTrip!” He said “oh let’s go to Japan! No Australia! Wait what if we go to California again?! Wow! My kid doesn’t want gifts. He wants the experiences he gets when we are on a DreamTrip!! Now that’s what I call “food for thought”. Give the gift of travel!
